12 Days and Growing!!!

12 Days old now!!! That has gone by so fast! We went to the doctor for his second checkup because we were watching his weight and jaundis. He was born at 6 lbs 11 oz but came home at 6 lbs 2 oz, so the doctor really wanted us to work on his weight gain. So a week later we went back to the dr and he is 7 pounds!!!! And grew 1/2 an inch to 20 inches long now! So a good report and he is growing so fast! He is starting to raise his head up strong when he lays on his belly and loves looking at patterns! He Finally Made It!!!

John Shane Homer made his appearance Thursday, August 19, 2010 at 10:03 p.m. He weighed 6 pounds 11 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long! We got to come home the following Sunday with lots of love, presents, and signs waiting for us. We had an awesome support group at the hospital and Shane had his own fan club. We have been blessed with all the family that has been around and traveled up to see us! Mommy, Daddy, and Baby are doing good and getting used to a schedule.

Patiently Awaiting....

I am 36 1/2 weeks and we are trying to be patient for the last few weeks until baby Shane gets here! We can't wait to meet him and I know all the family is ready too! He will be so loved and we will be so blessed to have him in our lives. I am going to have this blog for the family to be able to see all his growth and development as we experience it too! I hope you like it and I will try my best to keep it updated on a regular basis!
